the campaign for Zak Ferguson's next feature RODNEE is LIVE.

I'll be providing a voice over performance for this one, playing a casting couch ghost with a seasonal residence inside VHS tapes (i think).

this film promises to be an even more insidious stripe of grime and venom than BRADLEE. I'm very excited to be a part of it.

Hope you will, too.

Rodnee is coming undone.

He spends all of his time going from one extreme, to another.

Whether that is having a new girlfriend every week or losing his battle against his insatiable hunger for substances that will help numb his pain, Rodnee flits through life with nary a thought for others, let alone himself.

Caught between masturbating in the strangest of locations, snorting up as much ketamine as his body will allow, and battling through his trauma with a little bit of ultra-violence, Rodnee lives a depraved life.

Yet, Rodnee is a sum of his parts. His trauma, his schizophrenia, his addictions, do not help him realise that he is in danger of losing his soul.

Other forces are trying to capture Rodnee's soul.

The Tape Bearer - a demonic presence, a vessel for a higher demonic power - places temptation in their paths, a tape for people to watch.

These old video tapes are not only of the nastiest material humanity can witness, it enhances the worst aspects of a person, causing untold chaos, before it steals one's soul.

The tape soaks up the viewers soul, before moving onto the next one - copying soul after soul, over each new materials on the tape he provides.

This is The Tape Bearers purgatory. This is his duty.

Rodnee though, seems to be evading his bait.

The other, less clearly defined force, who's motivations are opaque at best, comes in the form of a mannequin/The Lady, who shifts between being a real person and a plastic mannequin.

The Lady is trying to seduce Rodnee into making love with her, or exacting his inner most troublesome desires.

Is she here to save him? Or will she warp him beyond his limitations, far greater than The Tape Bearer himself can?

Rodnee is quite (un)-happy to continue on, in drugged/drunken ignorance. Until he has no choice but to...
